Luke Morley, Ernie's son in law and I set out on our journey to Astoria, not knowing what we might find, we were amazed by the town’s rich Oregon pioneer history and Pride of ownership. We were fortunate to meet a few homeowners and share the splendor that dwells inside their historic homes. Many of these homes were built during the late 1800's. They shared stories of high winds, rain and dense fog that, at times, you need a knife to cut through. A few homes have been stripped of old paint in the last two decades and refurbished. Of the owners we talked to, not one had ever had their siding replaced in whole. We were not surprised to find they still had their original siding intact. What a great feeling since our companies believe in and sell real wood siding and trim products. It gives us great pleasure to know that people love there homes this way, for a great day trip or to visit a bed and breakfast, check out Astoria, and its much splendor. As you will see these elegant painted ladies, are undoubtedly labors of love for their owners. For photo album click here
